2022 Awards: winners

The winners of the 2022 Australian Romance Readers Awards were announced this evening. We started the announcements off with our Members’ Choice awards:

  • Favourite banter/dialogue in a romance 2022: the winner is The Trouble with Earls by Anna Campbell.
    (Runner-up: The Evie Effect by Davina Stone.)
  • Favourite romance novella 2022: the winner is A Twist in the Tail by DD Line. (Runner-up: Her Royal Christmas by Madeline Ash.)
  • Favourite romance cover 2022: the winner is The Rake’s Daughter by Anne Gracie. (Runners-up: House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J Maas and Sorrow’s Song by Keri Arthur.)

In the main categories the winners were:

  • The Favourite Paranormal Romance for 2022 is Storm Echo by Nalini Singh. (Runners-up: A Relic of Magic and Gold by HM Hodgson and Keeper of My Desire by HM Hodgson.)
  • The Favourite Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Futuristic Romance 2022 is Sorrow’s Song by Keri Arthur. (Runner-up: Wicked Nights by MJ Scott.)
  • The Favourite Historical Romance 2022 is The Rake’s Daughter by Anne Gracie. (Runner-up: The Worst Lord in London by Anna Campbell.)
  • The Favourite Contemporary Romance 2022 is Lola and the Single Dad by Kelly Hunter. (Runner-up: A Town Like Clarence by Stella Quinn.)
  • The Favourite Short or Category Romance 2022 is Nurse’s Outback Temptation by Amy Andrews. (Runner-up: Second Chance with His Cinderella by Kandy Shepherd.)
  • The Favourite Romantic Suspense 2022 is Clouds on the Horizon by Penelope Janu. (Runner-up: A Hard Day for a Hangover by Darynda Jones.)
  • The Favourite Continuing Romance Series 2022 is The Immortal Keepers by HM Hodgson. (Runners-up: Psy-Changeling Trinity by Nalini Singh and The Brides of Bellaire Gardens by Anne Gracie.)
  • The Favourite Debut Romance Author of 2022 is Rachel Armstrong. (Runners-up: Laurelle Cousins and Lela May Wight.)
  • The Favourite Australian Romance Author 2022 is Anne Gracie. (Runner-up: Kelly Hunter.)
