Release day: Love at Lost Lagoons

15 May 2020

Today is the official release of Love at Lost Lagoons by Isabella Hargreaves (ebook, self-published). Here’s the blurb:

He’s fighting bankruptcy. She’s avoiding marriage. Can they find love together and the answer to their problems?

Northern Australia, 1879. Reclusive bachelor Walter Jamison has spent years trying to make his struggling cattle station viable. His isolated life is disrupted by the arrival of Elizabeth Chesterfield, a young woman betrayed by her brother and determined to escape an arranged marriage. Walter gives her sanctuary while his property is cut-off from the outside world during the wet season and she learns to trust again. Walter and Elizabeth find love, while her guardian and her unwanted ‘fiancé’ camp on the other side of the flooded river. What will happen when the waters recede?

Isabella dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

Like many of my stories, Love at Lost Lagoons started from an historical fact – a solitary pastoralist spending his life working at his remote property in northern Queensland, struggling to make it a success, far from cattle markets accessed over treacherous tracks. From there, real life and this story go off in vastly different directions. Instead of dying alone and without ever making his station pay its way, my hero and his heroine get their happy-ever-after ending. Of course! This 30,000-word novella is book #3 in the Stations of the Heart Series, a family saga set in colonial Australia during the Victorian era. This book tells the youngest cousin’s story. You can read it as a standalone story or read book #1 Lord Muck and Lady Alice and book #2 Love and Other Addictions first.

You can find out more about this book at Isabella’s website or buy it from Amazon.

All ARRA members who leave a comment on this post will go in the draw to win one of three copies of the book. The giveaway will close on 22 May.
