Awards Dinner: tickets on sale

The Australian Romance Readers Association is pleased to announce the sixth annual Australian Romance Readers Awards will be presented at a special dinner, to be held at Cello’s Restaurant, at the Castlereagh Hotel, Sydney, from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm on Saturday 22 March 2014.

All fans of romance fiction are invited to attend and help us celebrate the very best of romance fiction from 2013.

Helene Young, the Suspense is Killing her…

We are delighted to announce that Helene Young will be our special guest speaker.

Ever wondered what a plane crash feels like? It’s all in a day’s work for multi-award winning author and airline pilot, Helene Young. A Check Captain with Australia’s largest regional airline, her job is to ensure aircrew can handle all inflight emergencies. It also comes in handy for writing fast-paced suspense novels starring feisty women and sexy men. When she’s not writing or flying you can find her sailing the high seas with Capt G and Zeus the Salty Sea Dog. Helene won ARRA’s award for Favourite Romantic Suspense in both 2010 and 2011.

Registration for the dinner is now open. Tickets are $80 for ARRA members and $90 for non-members. (Members, the discount code has been emailed to you.) Ticket price includes a three-course meal, drinks and door prizes.

Award nominations opened on 15 December. All ARRA members are encouraged to nominate and vote in the awards. (Only ARRA members are allowed to nominate/vote. You should have received the voting link via email.)
