Release day: King’s Catch
Today is the official release of King’s Catch by Eliza Renton (ebook and paperback, self-published). Here’s the blurb:
Maggie witnessed the murder of her brother and best friend. New York City was her escape plan, except now she’s sleeping on the streets, with a dollar to her name. Luckily, Sentinel Security just hired her as a translator.
Winter is ex-Delta Force, an elite sniper, now part of Sentinel’s NYC operation. A loner.
Winter is not looking for a roommate. Definitely not a woman as sweetly packaged as Sentinel’s new interpreter. Trouble with a capital T.
When Maggie’s dangerous past lands on Winter’s doorstep, he vows to protect her. But can she trust him to keep her safe, or will her heart keep on running?
Eliza dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:
King’s Catch was the hardest story I’ve ever put to paper. Not because I don’t love Winter and Maggie. I love them. Hearing their voice was a challenge because I woke one morning lost in a romance writer’s nightmare—the soggy middle! Stuck in the proverbial mud, I realised I was so engrossed in my characters that I had let the plot sink. It took me weeks to fix. The threat of the Amazon ban, for not getting my book in on time, the big stick pushing me further into the mud. Until I woke on a Tuesday morning, a profound, for me, moment swimming in my head. Nobody’s story is truly finished! Fairytales tell us happy endings are written in blood, forever, and I choose to believe it with all my heart. An additional Christmas novella for them? Could be? As I also know that love takes courage.
