Fiona dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I was tempted to call Zafar my woke sheikh. I’m more a lover of sensitive new age guys than alpha males, but I wanted to write this book and the guy was an Arabian prince. So of course he needed some work. Welcome to book 3 in the Healing Hands—Doctors by Specialty series and Carmen’s ‘Taming of the Sheikh’ book. It’s standalone, so you don’t need to read the others in the series first but you will find Tilly in there briefly from Dr Bennett’s Babies and I love cameos by previous heroes. This is not my usual small town midwife story though as we have gunfights and private jets—and princes. Once, with writer friends, I stayed at the Crown Plaza Coogee Beach. Crown Plaza was an ‘affiliated to the maternity hospital’ hotel—and they had midwives for privately insured patients who could bring their families during their postnatal stay while they rested after birth. This was obviously a place a sheikh would come to chase his pregnant cousin to bring her home. And a place for Carmen to teach that entitled man about Australian midwives who protect the mothers they care for. Hope you love it—I had such fun writing it.
