Today is the official release of Married by Christmas by Isabella Hargreaves (ebook, self-published). Here’s the blurb:

Cover image of Married by Christmas by Isabella HargreavesPressured to marry Mr Wrong, can she wed Mr Right by Christmas?

Orphaned heiress and debutant, Lauren Edwards, yearns for a loving husband, a home, and a family, but she’s in love with her guardian, who acts like a fond uncle. When Lauren discovers the earl to whom she is engaged will never relinquish his mistress, it’s time to take her future into her own hands.

Sir Oliver Masterton, Lauren’s guardian, wants to avoid the mistake his father made of marrying a debutante, which led to a lifetime of misery for him and their son. However, Oliver is secretly in love with his ward and no matter how often he tells himself she will be better off marrying a peer of the realm, his heart doesn’t agree.

Lauren has one last chance to convince Oliver to set aside all his preconceptions about marriage, outrun her other pursuing guardians, and be happily married by Christmas.

Isabella dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I love reading heart-warming Christmas stories and read them year-round. Maybe you do too? A nineteen-year age difference exists between the hero and heroine of Married by Christmas. For the hero, this is a serious obstacle to their relationship, which the heroine must break down. Although she succeeds, there is still the hurdle of getting to the Scottish border so they can marry without a licence, or banns being called in their parish church. Gretna Green, although the closest and most popular Scottish location for runaway couples to marry, was just one of a number of border towns that served this purpose. Lauren and Oliver hasten north to marry at a tollgate at Lamberton in Berwickshire, on the other side of the Scotland border, not far from the hero’s estate. Distance, the weather, and Lauren’s relatives in pursuit are all against them. They make it to the border, but their difficulties are not yet over … I hope you enjoy reading this action- and emotion-filled novella.
