Release day: Warrior Witch

30 July 2021

Today is the official release of Warrior Witch by Susan Stephens (ebook, self-published). Here’s the blurb:

Cover image of Warrior Witch by Susan StephensA warrior witch determined to save her people. A dragon hoarding the magic she needs. One sacrifice to melt his dragon’s diamond-hard heart…

The Great Spirit has spoken. Abra has been chosen to save her people from a curse. Much as she hates leaving her orphaned younger siblings, Abra can’t deny she relishes the chance to put her warrior skills to the test. But there’s a catch. To destroy the evil Sorceress who cast the spell, she needs more than cold steel. She needs strong magic.

To get it, she must seduce Bahkran, guardian of all magical power.

In Abra’s view, men’s brain cells never stray far above their belts. Even the wickedly frustrating hero type who’s been taunting Abra in her dreams. But sacrificing her innocence is nothing compared to the barren fate that awaits her people if she fails.

Bakhran hasn’t been tempted to break his vow of celibacy for centuries. But if Abra is brave enough to face the Sorceress, it’s worth the effort to emerge from her dreams for a few minutes of amusement.

Their first coupling will be extraordinary. He has Seen it. But he cannot know that playing with this human female will be like stepping on a scorpion. Or that she’ll make him burn with the kind of passion that melts the heart of his dragon…

Susan dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I’ve been in love with fairy tales since the day I discovered my favourite chair had one leg propped up on a volume of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Writing romance has been a natural progression from that. Pushing the boundaries of fantasy romance as far as I could led to the creation of Hot Hex, my new series. Abra, my warrior heroine, is determined to save her people. Bahkran, the hero with everything Abra needs to lift the curse on her village, must share his magic so Abra can defeat the sorceress who cast the evil spell. Abra’s not keen on the method of sharing, but what choice does she have with her people in danger? Nor does she believe there’s a hero alive with a single brain cell above his belt. Will Bahkran turn out to be different? His dragon certainly thinks so.
