Release day: Unseen

30 November 2020

Today is the official release of Unseen by Cassie Laelyn (The Fallen Guardians, book 3) (paperback and ebook, The Wild Rose Press). Here’s the blurb:

Heaven is his new Hell…

After centuries of torturous visions from Fate, party boy EJ, hides his guilt behind a perfectly crafted visage. When a woman appears in his dreams, full of sunshine and innocence, he thinks it’s another punishment. But when the dream warps, EJ must question not only his destiny, but also his aversion to commitment.

Dreaming of a sexy book boyfriend is the closest thing Hailee has to a happily ever after. Years of running from her mom’s imaginary demons ensured that. But when tragedy strikes and Hailee’s caught in the middle of a brutal war, all her hope falls on the reluctant hero she thought was a fantasy.

As an ancient battle threatens to tear them apart, EJ and Hailee must fight for their happy ending before their nightmares become a reality.

Cassie dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

For as long as I can remember, dreams have fascinated me. Not just how our subconscious creates movies to replay while we’re asleep, but also how those snippets are often exactly what we need to see. Even more so when the dreams are of a lost loved one telling us they’re okay, that they’re thinking of us. In Unseen, I wanted to explore the concept of dreams further, particularly what happens if we continue to overlook the true meaning behind those hidden messages. EJ doesn’t have dreams, he has nightmares. So, when he has a vision of a spirited woman who floods his existence with sunshine and happiness, he thinks it’s another trick from Fate. But the more the visions intensify, the more he sees the message behind them—his destiny.
