Release day: Reunion with His Surgeon Princess

1 June 2020

Today is the official release of Reunion with His Surgeon Princess by Karin Baine (ebook and paperback, Harlequin). Here’s the blurb:

She ran from his proposal…

…but fate isn’t through with them yet!

World-renowned transplant surgeon and single dad Seth Davenport will do everything to save his royal patient. Even if that means a reunion with his patient’s daughter—Princess Kaja Alderisi, the surgeon who once ran from him…after he’d offered her a diamond ring and his heart! But one look into Kaja’s captivating gaze and it’s clear that their past isn’t so willing to be left behind…

Karin dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I like to mix up themes when I’m writing, so I thought it would be good to do a reunion romance with a twist. In this instance my heroine, Kaja, had been hiding a big secret from Seth, her long-term love. It was only when he proposed marriage, she realised she had to stop pretending to be someone she wasn’t and ran back to take up her rightful place as part of the royal family in her home country. When her father needs life-saving surgery some years later, she knows Seth is the only man she trusts to do it. That means inviting him back into her life and into a world he doesn’t belong in. I had the idea of making the hero the one feeling out of place for a change when it’s often the heroine who feels inadequate. While Seth is a confident surgeon, the new Kaja he has to get to know again is a far cry from the woman he knew. Or so he thinks. Now a civilian in the life of a princess, it brings all sorts of complications when their two worlds are so very different. This book was my chance to create my own kingdom and I really enjoyed bringing the history and location to life. If you’d like a new take on a royal romance and an escape to an enchanting new land, this is the book for you!
