Release day: Taming the Wind

14 February 2020

Today is the official release of Taming the Wind by Phillipa Nefri Clark (prequel, River’s End Mystery Romance series) (ebook and paperback, self-published). Here’s the blurb:

Only time itself will erase our love…

On the edge of the Great Southern Ocean, an old jetty offers a haven for those seeking solace. A place by the sea to think. Plan. And dream.
As the daughter of the region’s wealthiest family, Martha Ryan has everything a girl could ask for. Money means nothing because her soul longs for adventure, love and a family of her own.

Thomas Blake is an artist weighed down by duty. Expected to follow his father into employment by the Ryan family as stationmaster, he yearns for the freedom to paint.

A chance meeting at the jetty one dawn changes both their lives. But will the expectations and prejudices of their families destroy their future?

Phillipa dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I wrote Taming the Wind after many readers asked how did Thomas and Martha meet? What made their love so special? This is set in 1966 and 1967 and tells their early story. Although easy to read as a standalone with a happy ever after, it also leads into The Stationmaster’s Cottage, the first in the River’s End Mystery Romance series. Going back to River’s End in my mind was a wonderful journey and I had a sense of visiting old friends. A perfect read if you love romantic, sweet stories.

You can find out more about this book at Phillipa’s website or buy it from Amazon.
