For ARR2020 in March we will be featuring more than 90 romance authors across five cities. If you live in (or near) Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth or Adelaide, come along and meet local authors, as well as our international guests—Darynda Jones and Susan Donovan.
Today we are spotlighting Tania Joyce. She will be attending ARR2020 in Brisbane.
How old were you when you first started writing romance?
I was 38 years old.
Who was the first romance author to catch your interest?
I don’t think there has been one, but many.
Have you written genres other than romance (or are you thinking about it)?
Still romance, but I just wrote my first romantic suspense.
Choose one of your books to turn into a movie—who would you cast in the lead roles?
I’d select Ripped—The Price of Loyalty, my rockstar romance, and have Kristen Stewart play the lead.
What is the hardest part of creating a story?
Working out the black moment, that all-is-lost heart breaking moment. It is always a challenge for me, but I love writing emotional scenes.
What is your favourite place to write?
My office.
Have any of your characters been inspired by real-life people?
No.
What was the last romance you read and loved (and why did you love it)?
I read a lot. The last one that grabbed me was Jaine Diamond’s Hot Mess. I’ve loved her Dirty series and now the Players series has me hooked. Totally hot reads.
Tell us about your latest release in 100 words or less
My latest release is Rapt—The Price of Love (Jan 2020). Life in world-famous rock band, Everhide, has pushed Kyle and Gemma’s hearts, careers and friendship to the limits. But they are soulmates. Their love is profound. Intense. Getting married is their dream come true. But not everyone feels the same way. Someone obsessed with Kyle wants Gemma dead. DEAD! Surely the danger isn’t real? It’s just some crazed fan pulling a prank. With concerts and festivals to play before their big day, she won’t let anyone derail their wedding plans. No one. But one false move puts her in danger. What lengths will Kyle go to, to save Gemma?
What else will you be working on in 2020?
I will be writing the next instalment, book #4, in my Everhide Rockstar Romance Series.
