Release day: In the Heat of the Night

9 August 2019

Today is the official release of In the Heat of the Night by Susanne Bellamy (Bindarra Creek: A Town Reborn, book 2) (ebook, self-published). Here’s the blurb:

Fire Captain, Kel Jones, suspects an arsonist is active in his town of Bindarra Creek. But he’s distracted by his newest recruit, petite Greek goddess, Thalia of the divine-baklava.

When a callout to an accident gives him his first break in the case, he’s shocked when the investigation throws up an unexpected suspect. Sparks fly as the search for truth pits him against his newest recruit.

Susanne dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

Kel Jones is Bindarra Creek’s fire captain and Thalia Levonis is the daughter of the owners of the Cyprus Cafe. She becomes Kel’s newest recruit after she goads him into accepting an unusual bet. Fire fighters are real heroes in their communities and Kel is well respected for his work. Fire and Rescue Services and the Rural Fire Brigades depend on selfless, community-minded locals determined to protect life and property. Most members have to work a regular day job and they train on their own time, responding at any hour of the day or night to call outs. But when arson occurs, the danger factor escalates ten-fold. Bindarra Creek became so real to readers that since the original series released between July 2015 and 2016, we’ve also released a two-volume anthology, Bindarra Creek Short and Sweet, and are now releasing the second complete series, one a month over nine months. Although each book can be read as a standalone, most readers want to lose themselves in the world of Bindarra Creek, and it’s not for just the town’s success rate in matchmaking! This is a community that feels so real, many readers have said they ‘recognise’ it, have lived in one that’s very similar, or want to move there.

You can find out more about this book at Susanne’s website or buy it from Amazon.
