Maya Darlington-Hume is the ultimate party girl, who knows what she wants, and always gets her way. Her wayward ways hide a past hurt that has always haunted her, causing her to feel like the black sheep in the family, always trying to prove her worth. She’s young, sometimes impetuous and will go to any lengths to get what she wants; and after catching Benedict Chivers watching her pleasure herself in the bath, Ben is who she wants.

Benedict Chivers has worked his way up from nothing, and no way will he jeopardise his success by having a fling with the daughter of the man who can put his company on the map. But Maya is strong willed, and the more they get to know each other, the harder it is to keep their hands to themselves.

Both feel an intense attraction to the other, but both are cautious to put their emotions into words. Maya needs her father’s approval to inherit her trust fund to launch her dream jewellery venture, Ben needs Maya’s father’s backing to reach the next level with his business. Both have so much to lose by having an affair, but it sure is worth it. The heat level in this book is hot, hot, hot!

Ben’s initial resistance to Maya was impressive and made me like his character more for it. These two were polar opposites, but drew each other out of their respective issues to heal the other, and find true lasting love. It was fast paced, full of glamour but also had touching heartfelt moments as these two revealed their true selves.

This was the author’s first Dare offering, and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
