When I reviewed Awakening the Shifter I believe I wished for the dragon’s tale. Well, I got to read it in Enticing the Dragon.

Torque is a great character and in Hollie he finds a worthy mate but, of course, there’s a fly or two in the ointment.

When they first meet there are (ahem) sparks of enchantment—but Hollie is there undercover to check out whether Torque is in fact The Incinerator, an arsonist the authorities have been chasing for years.

This is bad news for Hollie who has a bad case of the hots for Torque even though she has never met him. It was chasing tickets to a Beast concert that alerted her to the fact that the fires were either caused by or related to Torque.

As the last of his ancient Scottish clan and an old dragon, Torque has lots of history and lots of money. He loves the rock star lifestyle but thinks he will be forever alone. It is Hollie being in danger that brings things to a head and they join forces. The attraction gets a chance to burn hot.

There is a bad dragon masquerading as something else, a set of sorceress twins at war with each other. Science, magic, sizzle and heat (both literally and figuratively) are there in this story.

The end is as magical as any dragon and follows a betrayal Hollie didn’t see coming. There’s sadness too at one ending.

Beast’s other members make appearances and the little shapeshifter that is Khan and Sarange’s daughter, Karina, is a little bit of cuteness on the side.

As with Awakening the Shifter, I very much enjoyed Enticing the Dragon.
