His revenge is set, and she knows it, now.

Raoul Cardini is determined to take his vengeance on Imogen. He has turned up to her wedding claiming a business deal with her father, but the reality is that he wants to stop her wedding to another man. He is determined to make her suffer as he has suffered. He cannot believe that she left him and then got rid of their child.

Imogen O’Sullivan has much to deal with. Her renewed relationship with her sister after many years apart, her heart break over Raoul, and the horse breeding business her father owns is in significant debt. She is determined to marry her friend, Adnan, to ensure the family business remains active. She has also promised him an heir.

When Raoul and Imogen are caught in the same room by her father, sister and Adnan, the wedding is off. It is at this point that Raoul realises that he still wants Imogen and tries to make a new arrangement with her. He agrees to the same conditions that Adnan had made for the marriage. As they continue their discussion and with accusations, they often talk at cross purposes, until Raoul finally realises that he was wrong about Imogen and their baby. He blames himself. Imogen also comes to the realisation that she can’t live without Raoul.

While all of this sounds complicated, it isn’t really. The basis of their past relationship is misunderstandings or more the lack of talking especially when there are hurts that Imogen and Raoul do not want to talk about as they only knew each other for a limited time before events overtook them. Raoul was about revenge, but he couldn’t forget Imogen.
