This is a relationship that should be off limits but the connection is too strong.

Jack Grant beds women like he changes his suits. Most mornings there is another in his bed. Gemma is used to seeing him in his bed. After all she works for him, and closely. Jack’s reason for so many women is that he cannot emotionally commit to another woman after his wife, Lucy, died. He just wants the sex. Jack is a challenge for many of his employees, and he sees Gemma as an ice maiden.

Lady Gemma Picton works for Jack and has control over many aspects of the business as the firm’s lawyer. She wants Jack but is willing to put that into another compartment. She loves her grandmother and loves to spend time with her. She has been brought up on stories of how her grandparents fell in love at first sight. Regardless, Gemma wants Jack. And Jack wants Gemma, in bed or wherever, desperately. It is a matter of where and when.

Gemma and Jack do discuss his first marriage and that he has a deep hurt over the loss of his first wife. When the break up happens, and it is inevitable, Jack needs to decide if he can move on from Lucy and all that she meant to make a life with Gemma.

This story is written from the first person point of view. Each character has their say on what is happening. It can take a moment or two to adjust to the change in character point of view. Having said that the reader does get to read how the characters feel about the lust filled sex that happens.

Readers should be aware that the sexual relationship takes precedence over the emotional relationship in this line. The emotion does come to the fore for the happy ever after but it is all about the instant attraction and sex.
