ARRA newsletter #90

15 January 2017

Purple news

The January issue of the ARRA newsletter is out today. Members should have received the download code via email.

Here’s a quick run down on some of the information you can find in the newsletter this month:

  • in the lead story we announce the finalists in the 2016 awards
  • a date for the AGM in Jan/Feb didn’t work out, so we’re holding it in March—please be sure to respond (see pg 3)
  • for those coming to ARRC2017—if you are not on the Lounge you are missing your chance to score a Golden Ticket; and watch for a Cinderella competition on the members loop soon! And for authors—we have some extra author spots. Let us know if you want one, but you’d better be quick! (pg 4)
  • some of our members let us know their Finds of 2016
  • some changes on the Facebook group to refresh our discussions
  • the next #AuthorHour is on 25 January
  • we introduce a new ‘Self-published highlights’ column from Diane
  • don’t forget to try your hand at the Find the Heart giveaway
  • Rhyll and Charlotte take over the web watch column, and their first offering is on Smexy Books

Plus our regular columns—romance roundup, publisher news, events, reviews, freebies, author interviews and upcoming releases.

If anyone has any publishing news or deals to report, please send information through. And we are always looking for authors to do a Q&A for the newsletter. If you haven’t done one yet, please contact us at arra.editor@gmail.com.

Happy reading everyone!

Girls, this is devastating to hear you weren’t able to form a quorum in January or February. How many members does ARRA need for the AGM? The ARRA is thriving but, as always, readers love books more than meetings (PS: ARRA’s AGM isn’t boring – it’s quite a lot of fun). I’ve completed the survey and apologise for being a sleeping member. Good luck with this and please email me if you need further assistance (Not on the loop – I’m so time poor I haven’t been on the loop for years – I just enjoy your newsletter and blog posts so much). Cher
