New year, new resolutions
There’s something promising about starting a new year. A new slate wiped clean for a fresh start all over again. Most of us have the best of intentions. New goals. New resolves. Better this and better that. Let’s face it, for many of us, 2016 was a memorable year for a lot of the wrong reasons.
For me 2016 was the closing of a chapter with a bad apple publisher so that I could sign contracts with publishers I believed in. Thankfully I’d already achieved that goal in 2016, so the year wasn’t a complete disaster! And now I’m hopeful 2017 will be the year of plenty. Lots of stories released, more contracts signed and readers discovering and enjoying my work.
With the New Year now opening up its broad, wonderful horizons, I’ve already rewritten and adapted my story Kadin (originally titled ‘Dragon Heat’ from the Something Wicked this Way Comes anthology). This first story is now a prequel to a whole new sci-fi series: Dragons of Riddich. Kadin is up for pre-order with release day on 5 January. Book 1, Asher, will be released 19 January and then book 2, Baron, will come not too long after that … with plenty more to follow!
These are just some of my professional goals for this year. But I’d probably have enough personal ones to fill up a page or two. What about you? I’d love to hear about your goals, aspirations or new year’s resolutions! 🙂
Mel Teshco is an award-winning, Amazon bestselling author with a love for the written word, along with a short attention span that sees her juggling a variety of genres and heat levels in her stories. From contemporary to paranormal, inspirational to erotic, she hopes there’s a little of something for every reader out there to enjoy. Her gypsy-like upbringing saw her living in many places along Australia’s east coast. Each new home stimulated an already overactive imagination, where she spent as much time dreaming about fantasy worlds as the real world—the fantasy sometimes being much better. Now living on a beautiful rural property with views of the mountains keeping her two horses, three cats, one hyperactive Belgian shepherd and a lazy Rotty puppy happy, she is happily married to Mr Patience, and adores her three children and two grandchildren.
Grace has a special ability. She senses other paranormal beings. It’s the perfect trait to have as an operative for the Paranormal Detection Agency. A pity her next target, Kadin Marres, doesn’t just trigger her paranormal senses … he triggers her lust too.
Kadin has been aware of the elusive Grace for some time now and has waited patiently for her. She’s a dragon breeder, and once he finally has her, he isn’t about to give her up. Not even if it means she goes from hunter to hunted.
You can buy Kadin from Amazon.
