ARRC2017: concurrent session 1B

Hopefully this will help you to decide which sessions you would like to attend. And if you haven’t registered for the convention yet, maybe we can entice you!

Now to introduce our first session …

Session 1B—Speed dating

Just like regular speed dating, but without the cocktails and heartache … Meet some of your favourite authors, and discover new authors, in these one-on-one ‘dates’. Can you find a soulmate in just four minutes? Come along to one of our speed dating sessions and find out!

The line-up

Anne Gracie1b-photos is published by Berkley USA, Penguin Australia and Harlequin. A best-selling, multi award-winning author, Anne has written more than twenty books, and has been translated into more than eighteen languages. Last year Anne won four ARRA awards, including ‘Favourite Australian Author’. Anne lives in Melbourne.

Cassandra Dean is the author of nine historical and fantasy romances, including the popular Silk series, and was a 2016 finalist in the Romance Writers of Australia’s coveted R*BY Award. Cassandra lives in Adelaide, South Australia.

Courtney Milan is a historical romance writer and a three-time RITA finalist as well as a two-time nominee for the ARRA Favourite Historical Romance award. She has currently broken away from her historical romance roots and started a new adult series; Trade Me and Hold Me are the first two books in the Cyclone series. Courtney lives near the Rocky Mountains with her husband, a marginally trained dog and an attack cat.

Donna Maree Hanson is the author of two sci-fi romances, as well as four paranormal romances under the name Dani Kristoff. Spirtbound by Dani was shortlisted in the ARRA awards in 2016. Donna/Dani lives in Canberra, ACT.

Madeline Ash is the author of six contemporary romances. She was a 2016 RITA Award finalist in the romantic novella category with Her Secret Prince, and has been a RUBY Award finalist twice in the short sweet category. Madeline lives in Melbourne, Victoria.

Maggie Mundy is the author of eight books of paranormal and contemporary romance. You can find angels in her Midworlder series or vampires in her Earthbound series, or if you are after a sexy movie star, try Idolize. Maggie lives in Adelaide, South Australia.

McKinlay Thomson is the author of thirteen erotic romances. Her Merricks, Montana series has hit no. 1 on the Amazon bestsellers list for erotic westerns and she was nominated for a Golden Flogger Award at the BDSM Writers Conference in 2015. McKinlay lives in Melbourne, Victoria.

Michelle Somers is the author of sensual romantic suspense. Before publication her debut novel, Lethal in Love, won USA’s Indiana Golden Opportunities Award and Romance Writers of Australia’s Valerie Parv Award. In 2016 it won RWA’s Romantic Book of the Year for long romance. The sequel, Murder Most Unusual, is due for release early 2017. Michelle lives in Melbourne, Australia with her real-life hero and three little heroes in the making.

Rachael Johns is the author of twenty books, including rural romances and women’s fiction. She has been nominated for the Australian Romance Readers Award a number of times, winning Favourite Contemporary Romance twice and Favourite Short/Category Romance once. Her book The Patterson Girls won the Australian Book Industry Award for General Fiction in 2016. Rachael lives in the Perth hills.

Suzi Love is the author of 15 books, Regency to early Victorian eras, romance and history, and is a multi award winning author and multiple retailers best selling author. She has won and finaled in contests for many of her books in Romance Writers Australia, New Zealand, and America, including Single Title romance, Emerald Reader Judged romance, Regency and historical romance, and erotic romance. Suzi Love lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
