ARRC2017: tickets on sale
Reader tickets for ARRC2017 are on sale today!
ARRC2017 will be held from 24-26 February 2017 at Rydges Melbourne. The organisers have been hard at work for the last 12 months and are planning a fantastic event for both our reader and author delegates.
The convention is so much more than just a signing event. Keynote speakers will be Kylie Scott, Courtney Milan and Kristen Callihan. Special guest Thea Harrison will also be joining us for a special Skype Q&A. You can find the full list of authors attending here.
The convention will open with welcome drinks on Friday evening, 24 February, followed by two days of convention sessions. There will be a book-signing event on Saturday, 25 February (open to the public), followed by our annual awards dinner.
A key feature at this fifth convention will be opportunities for readers and authors to interact on a personal level, with speed dating sessions, as well as ‘meet an author’ tables at morning and afternoon teas. Details of the program are available here.

Registration includes access to all sessions for the whole weekend (including the signing), as well as morning and afternoon teas and lunches. The registration rate for the full weekend is $295 (or $275 for ARRA members).
Tickets to the welcome reception ($68) and awards dinner ($97) are sold separately.
If you wish to attend the convention for one day there is also a day registration option, priced at $150.
If you wish to attend the book-signing event only, tickets for that are $15.

Because we know that everyone wants to come to ARRC2017, but not everyone can afford it, we are running a competition to give one lucky reader the opportunity to attend the convention for free. Two additional winners will receive a free ticket to the book-signing event.
Entry is open to all readers—and if the winner has already bought their ticket we will refund the cost.
The competition opens today and will close on 1 November.
Here’s what you have to do … spread the word, via Facebook, Twitter and Google+
Post on one (or all) of these platforms with the hashtag #ARRC2017 and then include a link to either our website (http://australianromancereaders.com.au/convention/arrc2017/) or Facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1966063853618114/), plus a comment, and a tag to a friend. So, for example:
I would LOVE to go to #ARRC2017 – http://australianromancereaders.com.au/convention/arrc2017/ – maybe I can win a ticket! Maybe you can too <tag friend>
You can word the post however you like, but it must include three things: (1) the hashtag, (2) a link to one of our sites and (3) a tag to one of your friends.
We will track entries on each of these three platform using the hashtag. All valid entries go into the draw and the winner will be drawn randomly.
But there are rules! We will only count one entry per person per day. You can only tag a friend once. If you enter more than once you must tag a different person each time. Tagging multiple people in one post DOES NOT increase your number of entries. We want to spread the word, but we don’t want to encourage spam.
To re-iterate: Do not post more than one entry a day, and please do not spam all your friends.
1st prize: a free ticket to both days of the convention, including morning and afternoon tea and lunch on both days, plus entry to the book-signing event. (Note that this does not include tickets to the social functions, and does not include travel or accommodation costs.)
2nd and 3rd prize: two of the people tagged by the 1st prize winner will win a ticket to the book-signing event.
