Release day: Return to Jacaranda Avenue

15 May 2016

Today is the official release of Return to Jacaranda Avenue by Kerrie Paterson (ebook, Escape Publishing). Here’s the blurb:

Return to Jacaranda AvenueA pastry chef returns to her roots and discovers that the flavour of first love improves with age.

Twenty-five years ago, Polly and Matt were in love—but their relationship came to a traumatic end following the death of her best friend.

Now Polly Chappell has moved back to her home town to open a patisserie and care for her elderly parents, and the last person she wants to see is Matt Enright. Until she actually sees him, that is…

Their attraction turns out to be stronger than ever, but both have their reasons to resist rekindling their romance—until someone attempts to run Polly out of town with escalating threats and vandalism, and Matt’s protective instincts surface.
Will the secret she keeps bring them together—or get them killed?

Kerrie dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I’m very excited that Return to Jacaranda Avenue is finally published. The original idea came to me during NaNoWriMo a few years ago but took a while to come to fruition. Originally titled ‘Polly’s Patisserie’, the story came third in the Romance Writers of Australia Emerald Award in 2015. One of my favourite tropes is “second chance at love” and I love a small-town setting where everyone knows each other’s business. Put them together, throw in a villain who’ll stop at nothing to protect his shady activities, stir in a secret, and Polly and Matt are in for a rough ride before they can have their happy ever after. I hope you enjoy!

You can find out more about this book at Kerrie’s website or buy it from Amazon.
