Susanne dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:
Heartbreak Homestead (Hearts of the Outback, book 2) is set a few hours north of Mt Isa, and follows on from the story of RFDS pilot Amy and doctor Dan. Lizzy Wilmot is a strong secondary character in book 1 and as I wrote that first book, she began demanding I tell her story. It wasn’t ever going to be sweet like Amy’s. Lizzy’s life has been tough but she’s a strong woman who refuses to let men dictate anything in her world. An SES volunteer, her day job is in the office of the RFDS base but she unexpectedly inherits the family property when her brother commits suicide. The last thing she wants is to return to the house tainted by terrible childhood memories but when Alex Carter turns up asking for assistance to find key documents about his research in partnership with her brother, Lizzy has no choice but to return. And then bad things start to happen and Lizzy has to trust Alex with the most important thing in her life.
