Feature book: Seducing His Enemy’s Daughter
Seducing His Enemy’s Daughter by Annie West
Donato Salazar has a plan. He wants to destroy the man who destroyed his family. He has spent some time orchestrating his plan up to the point where he can put the last piece in. He wants to marry Reg Sanderson’s daughter. This will be the final nail in the coffin for the once wealthy Sanderson. Donato is sure that his plan will work, but he doesn’t count on the slight switch in the plan. The daughter he wanted to marry is not the one who turns up. But he does say to himself, it is one of the Sanderson daughters, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Ella Sanderson stands in for her sister. Her younger sister has run off with her man, and Ella is determined to find out what her father’s plan is and to have him repay the inheritances he has spent. Ella is more down to earth than Donato expected and is actually willing to go through with the plan for the fake marriage. But the one thing that Donato doesn’t count on is that he falls in love. He then has to fix the distance between himself and Ella.
At first Ella is wary of Donato and his intentions for her family and particularly for her sister. Fortunately for her, Donato is willing to share his past with Ella, which comes as a surprise to him. But it means that he really trusts her. He will then do whatever it takes to make her his.
This is a really good story of devotion to family. Some members do not deserve what has happened to them, but one member gets their comeuppance, which will leave readers cheering. I really like a story where the attraction or love hits the characters unexpectedly, especially when they were thinking and planning other things.
