Feature book: His 24-Hour Wife
Adam is the most staid of the three Hawke brothers. He is the one, he believes, who should take most of the responsibility as he is the eldest of the siblings. However, Adam, it turns out, has a secret and her name is Callie.
Adam and Callie have been meeting in Las Vegas for the last few years, and they enjoy a holiday relationship. The last time they met, they had a quickie marriage in Vegas, and then they went their separate ways. It is a surprise for Adam Hawke when Callie Mitchell turns up in his office. She needs to let him know that she is up for promotion to partner, and that involves the Hawke Brothers’ Trust. As soon as she tells Adam this, their Vegas wedding is in the press. It’s then that decisions need to be made about how they would approach their families and the outside world about their marriage.
Adam is very much the head of the family and takes that role very seriously. He is prepared to go all the way to protect his family name and to hide that he really wants Callie. The pair strike a deal, and so the pretence begins. Both are ensconced in Adam’s home, and while they are there, they do get to know each other better rather than just exploring their sexual attraction.
Callie and Adam decide to go their separate ways, and Adam’s true romantic nature comes out when he tries to woo Callie back into his arms. Perfect for the romantic.
This story is a perfect conclusion to the trilogy of the Hawke brothers.
