Release day: The Defiant Princess
Today is the official release of The Defiant Princess by Alyssa J Montgomery (ebook, Escape Publishing). Here’s the blurb:
Sabrina has never known Rhajia, the land of her birth. Living in Australia since she was a child, she’s built a life outside of the politics and history of the conflicted desert region of her birth. But now her life is in danger, and there may be only one solution: a temporary marriage to Khalid, the Crown Prince of Turastan. Temporary, logical, political, and in name only, the marriage could save both of their countries – and Sabrina. Emotions can have no place in this plan, even though the Crown Prince is dangerously seductive.
Khalid has already chosen a woman to become his wife – a woman who understands her duties and the rules for a good consort. He will marry her, just as soon as he’s returned the defiant princess to her home country. He has no intention of falling in line with Sabrina’s ridiculous plan. After all, Sabrina may be beautiful, but she’s headstrong and completely out-of-touch with her heritage. Absolutely the last woman he would ever want to marry…
Alyssa dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:
I’ve always loved a desert romance and when I had the opportunity to travel to Dubai, ride over endless sand dunes on a camel safari and gaze up at a night sky filled with more stars than I had ever imagined, the ideas for this story began to take root. How would it feel to be a desert princess, born to rule such a land, but raised since early childhood in a different country and culture? What forces would have torn the princess from her birth land, how would that have impacted upon her emotionally and what would it take for her to return? Most importantly how would romance develop for this princess and would she find her happy-ever-after? I had fun when I ‘interviewed’ my defiant princess, discovered the answers and discovered her story. I especially adored being introduced to her prince! (Did someone just turn the heater up?) I hope you enjoy Sabrina and Khalid’s story.
