ARRA newsletter #70
The May issue of the ARRA newsletter is out today. Members should have received the download code via email.
It is back to a sensible size this month after last month’s bumper issue—but still plenty of goodness for everyone.
Our annual membership renewals get under way today—the lead article gives more details. Expect an email from Wendy later today.
We are looking for volunteers in Melbourne for two events—and we are planning a lunch with Melbourne members on 25 July (see page 2). We also have more details on the August signing, as well as the awards review questionnaire (page 5), including a chance for reader members to win a year’s free membership.
We also have a wrap-up from the recent Jane Austen Festival, plus a special giveaway from Jenn J Macleod (see page 4).
Sydneysiders, don’t forget the romance panel at the Writers Festival on Saturday 23 May. I’m sure the organisers will be watching attendance numbers with interest, so be sure to get along and support the romance panel if you can. We are also interested in hearing from authors who want to join us at Book Expo in Sydney later this year (see page 6).
And of course all our regulars: tracking trends (this month discussing chick lit), the romance roundup, plus news, reviews and author interviews.
If anyone has any publishing news, or deals to report, please send information through to us. And we are also looking for authors to do a Q&A for the newsletter. If you haven’t done one yet, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Happy reading everyone!
