The Valquez SeductionThe Valquez Seduction by Melanie Milburne

Daisy Wyndham is a kindergarten teacher at a private school in England and she loves her job, but has led a very sheltered life, controlled by her father. She lost her mother when she was young and her father is determined to protect her at all costs, going so far as to send a bodyguard with her when she goes out. Daisy has gone on a trip to Las Vegas with two of her girlfriends and sets out to lose the bodyguard so as she can really enjoy herself and let loose for a bit, perhaps meet some guy.

Luiz Valquez is a notorious playboy and champion polo player. His mother is not the best person. She walked out on her husband and children when they were young after their father was badly injured in a horse-riding accident and Luiz never lets himself get close to a woman. One-night stands, love them and leave them, is his motto. He is handsome and knows how to have fun and he is in Las Vegas for a few days as well.

Daisy and Luiz spot each other at a night club and there is an instant attraction. Daisy has no idea who he is and when he asks her to dance she says no. No one ever says no to Luiz and this intrigues him. The conversation will have you laughing. The banter is great and they do not dance even though Daisy’s friends encourage her. This should be Daisy’s time to let her hair down. But in the end Daisy goes off with someone else and Luiz comes to the rescue like a knight in shining armour when Daisy is so drunk, she has no idea what she is doing and ends up spending the night in Luiz’s penthouse.

Luiz cannot believe how attracted to Daisy he is. She is nothing like the women he normally dates. Daisy is determined to have a great time, but when she rings her father and lets him know she is OK and who she is with, the very strong Mr Wyndham has words with Luiz. They decide to have four days together and what a passionate few days these are. They then decide to pretend to be a couple for four weeks to help with a sponsorship deal that Luiz has been working on for a while.

I really enjoyed this story. It will have you laughing with the banter between the straight-laced Daisy and the hot playboy. Their journey to a HEA is filled with ups and downs and a very sensual affair. Of course what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, and when Daisy has to go back to work and Luiz goes off to his championship polo match, things are left hanging in the balance between them. Both Daisy and Luiz cannot forget each other and love wins out as they open up to each other like neither has done before. Don’t miss this one, it is really good.
