The Nanny PropositionThe Nanny Proposition by Rachel Bailey

Liam Hawke is a very good-looking man. He helps run the family flower business with his two brothers after their parents retired to travel and they are well off. He does a lot with the flowers, creating new types while his brothers run the other parts of the business. The Hawke family come from a hard-working tradition and have made their money through hard work and honesty. Liam has basic wishes in life. He is not enamoured with rich people and their values. He has had a few relationships but has not found anyone that he can trust with his feelings and beliefs. Then he gets a phone call to tell him that he is a father, that he has a daughter Bonnie, and that Bonnie’s mother Rebecca, Liam’s ex, has passed away. Liam now finds himself a single father and he knows nothing about looking after a baby! He needs a nanny, and fast. At the first sight of his daughter, he is totally besotted with her.

Jenna Peters has been in America for just over a year. She is working as a housekeeper for Dylan Hawke and he has been very good to her, allowing her to work with her eight-month-old daughter Meg. She has a roof over her head, a good job and Meg goes to day care. Jenna also has a big secret that she keeps to herself. She fled her homeland when she found out she was pregnant because she did not want to cause any problems for her royal family. Being an unwed mother was not what should happen to her and although she knows she must return home one day, she is just content at the moment with her beautiful daughter. Jenna has met all of the Hawke brothers and there is something about Liam that has always drawn her to him.

When Liam arrives at his brother’s place, little Bonnie is starting to fuss and Jenna helps out. Liam realises that Jenna would make a perfect nanny. She could also spend more time with her daughter if she took this job. Jenna sees this as a good idea. She will do what needs to be done to help Liam become a good father and with Liam and Dylan’s help she moves to Liam’s house and starts working as Bonnie’s nanny. This then brings them a lot closer together and Liam really starts noticing his daughter’s nanny.

This is a story that pulled me in from the first page. It is moving, emotional and very sensual as together Liam and Jenna learn more about each other and the two girls. They all grow closer together. Jenna is such an understanding and caring person and she sees and understands Liam so well but Liam also knows that Jenna is holding something back. When Jenna helps with the launch of the new lily Liam has created, love causes a few problems. When Jenna tells Liam her secret, will he be able to get over his apprehension of people who come from a totally different upbringing than him? Liam, Jenna, Meg and Bonnie have become so close. I loved this journey to a HEA. It will have you smiling and tearing up—don’t miss this one.

This sounds like a great story with a twist on the usual nanny stories that i love. Who can resist a big, strong, sexy man showing his tender side to children especially babies. Will certainly be moving this book up in the TBR pile after this review.

I love nanny stories. This one looks really interesting considering how the nanny is runaway royalty.
