Release day: Flight to Coorah Creek
Today is the official release of Flight to Coorah Creek by Janet Gover (paperback and ebook, Choc Lit). Here’s the blurb:
Only Jessica Pearson knows the truth when the press portray her as the woman who betrayed her lover to escape prosecution. But will her new job flying an outback air ambulance help her sleep at night or atone for a lost life?
Doctor Adam Gilmore touches the lives of his patients, but his own scars mean he can never let a woman touch his heart.
Runaway Ellen Parkes wants to build a safe future for her two children. Without a man – not even one as gentle as Jack North.
In Coorah Creek, a town on the edge of nowhere, you’re judged by what you do, not what people say about you. But when the harshest judge is the one you see in the mirror, there’s nowhere left to hide.
Janet dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:
I love secrets–who doesn’t? I like characters with secrets, especially dark secrets. Dr Adam Gilmore has a secret he’s kept for almost 30 years. His new pilot, Jessica Pearson has a secret too. This is a book about how hard it is to give up those close-kept secrets, and what can happen when you do. It’s a book about the redemption to be found in love–when someone loves you despite your flaws–or maybe because of them. Flight to Coorah Creek is the first of a series of books set in this small outback town. I grew up in a place just like Coorah Creek, and there’s a lot of that real town in this fictional one. No real people, though–that would be revealing secrets that are not mine to tell. But most of the people in Coorah Creek have secrets. I’m sure I can convince some more of them to share those secrets with me and with you…
All ARRA members who leave a comment will go in the draw to win a copy of this book. The giveaway closes on 21 March 2014. (The winner was Malvina)
