Release day: There’s No Turning Back

7 January 2014

Today is the official release of There’s No Turning Back by Linda Mitchelmore (paperback, Choc Lit). Here’s the blurb:

EmmaIt isn’t easy to look forward when the past is so close behind you

Life hasn’t always been kind to Emma Le Goff. She has had her fair share of hardship and now finally, her life appears to be looking up. She and her childhood sweetheart, Seth Jago, are set to marry and both believe an idyllic existence, free from heartache, awaits them. However, when they discover that the past is more difficult to forget than they could have ever imagined, Emma continues to be haunted by the mysterious circumstances surrounding her family, and Seth is hounded by a jealous ex-lover set on revenge. Seth plans for their escape to Canada, but when the charismatic Matthew Caunter returns to Devon, Emma finds herself uncertain of whether a move to Canada is really what she wants ….

Linda dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

I never intended to write a trilogy. But when I finished writing To Turn Full Circle (published by Choc Lit in June 2012) I knew I didn’t want Emma’s story to end there. So I began the sequel–Emma: There’s No Turning Back. In this book Emma begins to grow emotionally as a woman, and some of the characters in the previous book–Ruby, Mrs Drew and kindly Dr Shaw–aid her journey. I have always been fascinated how a choice, often made on a whim or under pressured circumstances, can affect our lives, and those of those near and dear to us, for ever–for good or for bad. And so I wanted Emma to make choices. At the end of Emma: There’s No Turning Back, Emma has made her choice. But is it the right one? Is there more in life for her than she could ever have wished for, or dreamed about? And so book three of my trilogy was born.

You can find out more about this book at Linda’s blog or buy it at the Book Depository.
