Seducing the Secret Heiress.jgpSeducing the Secret Heiress by Jennifer St George

This is a story filled with secrets. It is sensual and heartwarming.

Gabe Grenville is a reality TV show producer from England, a very good one who has awards to prove it although one day he would dearly love to produce a movie and get an Emmy. Gabe has also been burnt badly by a very rich and conniving heiress. He decides that a holiday is just what he needs and as his is sister is not well, he decides to take his niece and nephew, Amelia and Rupert, with him to Italy. Love is not something he is looking for.

Charlotte Wentworth is heiress to a diamond fortune and engaged to be married to an heir to a mining fortune, a well-planned marriage to unite two wealthy families. When Charlotte finds her fiancé cheating on her and talking to her father, she decides to run away and find out who she is and show that she can fend for herself without the family wealth. So she decides to go backpacking through Europe, first stop Italy.

Charlotte is sitting on a beach in Italy thinking in the sun when she realises that a child is in trouble in the water and without thinking she dives in to rescue the little girl. She manages to get her to the beach where a very good looking English man helps the little girl who is not breathing but Charlotte saves her. While they are waiting on the ambulance to arrive, her brother attaches himself to her and refuses to leave without Charlotte. The (presumed) father of the children thanks her profusely for saving the child and then asks if she can go to the hospital with them. She has nothing else to do so off she goes. At the hospital she learns that Gabe is their uncle not their father which is a good thing for Charlotte because she is feeling an attraction to him. After realising that Charlotte has lost her backpack at the beach while helping them, Gabe insists that she accompany them back to the unit he has rented for their holiday.

This is where the embers of desire start to flow and Charlotte introduces herself as Charlie Brown trying to hide who she really is. She has no idea who Gabe is either. Charlie loves to cook and is an excellent cook and after talking and eating Gabe comes up with an idea for a new reality TV show, First-Class Chef. Charlie ends up in England with Gabe on the pretence of her saving Amelia’s life and the fact that she has no access to any money. Charlie ends up a contestant in the show and Gabe and Charlie are getting closer and closer and when they get to the finals, all hell breaks loose.

This a great story that I read in almost one sitting. I loved the tension that the secrets caused and the love they finally realised they had for each other and with the help of two ex’s, their love is finally real. You will love the scene with the triple chocolate brownies with caramel topping. I highly recommended this book.
