Author spotlight: Ellen Cross

15 February 2013

Ellen CrossEllen Cross is the author of two erotic romances from eXtasy Books. Ellen lives in a little beachside town in northern NSW, with her husband of fifteen years, her five boys, and a slightly mentally unstable yet completely lovable dog called Jessie.

Welcome Ellen to our spotlight …

Have you attended one of ARRA’s events before?

This will be my very first ARRC, but not my last.

What are you most looking forward to at ARRC2013?

Meeting so many new faces, all with a love for romance in all its glorious genres, to match my own. With so many talented authors attending, who wouldn’t leap at this opportunity to see the face behind some of our favourite books? *grins*

Tell us about your latest book…

Holly’s Healing, is an erotic ménage, but with a difference to any other I have ever read. Holly herself has had to face a complete upheaval to her life, going from a young confident woman with everything going right…to a shadow of her former self who is just trying to make it through each day. When the local teenage thugs attack her she is left vulnerable, until the sound of tires screeching and the smell of smoke break through her pain.

Wade has helped his adopted brother, Dean, deal with PTSD since his arrival on Dean’s parents doorstep as a teen, having witnessed a brutal crime that has left him scarred and terrified of his own capabilities. It hasn’t mattered what steps Wade has tried, nothing has helped Dean overcome his impotence at the very thought of being intimate with a woman.

When a young woman is attacked in front of them, it doesn’t take Wade long to realise that the woman, Holly, may be just the cure that Dean needs, and a woman who can love them both. The only thing he now needs to figure out…is how to stop Dean running long enough to try.

What do you have coming up next?

My next WIP is actually a sci-fi orientated GLBT erotic romance. I will share with you the prologue:

It is too late to run. They are already here. Your government has disavowed any knowledge of a problem to your people, but it…is a lie.

Too terrified of the hysteria that revealing the Vorn’s invasion would bring to the population of earth, your leaders have instead sent a call to the stars for help. We have answered that call.

The Vorn have already decimated our own population on Therone. My men and I have paid the price for the Vorn’s attack. Unable to spare warriors for the cause, all non-breeders of my race have been drafted to fight our war…your war now, as well.

We will protect your people. We will hunt down and obliterate the threat to us all…but we have a price.

Keep an eye out for Ellen’s books:
