ARRC2013: the countdown begins

11 February 2013

arrc2013_webbanner_darkIt’s nearly here! After 18 months of planning, we’re so excited that the Australian Romance Readers Convention is less than three weeks away!

Here’s a quick recap of what we have planned for our attendees.

We’ll open the convention with the first Lady Jane’s Salon to be held outside of the US. Hope Tarr will be hosting, and several best selling authors will be joining her to read from their works. Lady Jane’s Salon will be followed by our welcome reception.

The weekend program will consist of plenary sessions where our keynote authors will delight with their wit and insight. In the breakout sessions we’ll discuss the publishing revolution, debate dragons vs angels, solve an ‘ARRC2013 whodunnit’ and consider the ‘50 shades of erotica’. In our new segment ‘The Romance Hour (and a half!)’ we’ll interview our favourite authors, the importance of location will be covered in our contemporary panel, and our historical authors will present ‘Romance fact or fiction: can you tell the difference?’

Saturday night will be a highlight of the convention, where the Australian Romance Reader Awards will be presented during our gala dinner. In addition to our program and social events, we have some exciting door prizes, competitions galore and, of course, free books!

If you haven’t booked your tickets yet, you’d better get in fast as registration closes on 22 February.

For more details on our attending authors, the program and social events, and registration information, please check out the website.

I look forward to seeing you in Brisbane!
