Release day: Stand-in Star

7 January 2013

Today is the official release of  Stand-in Star by Rachael Johns (ebook, Carina Press).  Here’s the blurb:

Stand In StarAs an anthropologist, Holly McCartney is more comfortable in a museum than shopping on Rodeo Drive. She isn’t prepared for the media frenzy on her arrival in L.A. to accept a posthumous acting award for her late sister….or for her sister’s gorgeous friend Nate Devlin to come to her rescue. Though he resents her for some reason, she can’t fight their irresistible chemistry—especially when the paparazzi force her to stay at his mansion.

Photographer Nate only agrees to help Holly survive Hollywood for her sister’s sake, but she soon gets under his skin in a way no other woman has. The more time he spends with her, the more his attraction grows and he finds himself opening up to her in ways he never expected. But will ghosts of the past stand in the way of their perfect Hollywood ending?

Rachael dropped by today to tell us a little about this book:

This book, or rather the idea of it, has been with me a LONG time. About five years ago, I read an article about teenage paparazzi photographers and started dreaming up a story of a hero who used to be a paparazzi photographer in his teens. Nate Devlin (Stand-in Star‘s hero) has been festering in my imagination for a long time, and I hope you love him as much as I do!

You can find out more about this book at Rachel’s website and buy it at Amazon.

All ARRA members who comment on this post will go in the draw to win a copy of the book.  The giveaway closes on 28 January 2013.  (The winner was Louisa)
