Publisher pitch: Penguin Australia, Dec 2012

20 December 2012

Penguin_COL_resizedThe first Penguins made their debut in British bookshops and bookstalls in 1935, and today Penguin is one of the world’s three largest English language publishers. Penguin publishes books in a wide variety of formats and subjects for adults and children embracing fiction and non-fiction. It is one of the more versatile and adventurous publishing houses in the world–a unique situation that had its modest beginning with Allen Lane’s ten paperbacks published at sixpence each.

Penguin publishes romantic fiction of all shapes and sizes, and has a very proud history of publishing the best quality rural romance, contemporary romance, historical romance and romantic suspense.

In January 2013 Penguin will publish romantic fiction from an Australian author who is going places, Kate Forster; something saucy from the second in line to the erotica throne, Sylvia Day; and an exciting six-part serialised ebook from Lauren Jameson.

So, we are delighted to introduce you to…

Seduction by Kate Forster: From London to LA, Byron Bay to Sydney, Seduction is a lush, glamorous and addictive story about passion, betrayal and forgiveness, and the price of fame. Readers can get a taste of Kate Foster for free, with Chance, a short prequel to Seduction available online now.

Stranger I Married by Sylvia Day: Isabel, Lady Pelham, and Gerard Faulkner, Marquess of Grayson, are well matched in all things–lusty appetites, constant paramours, provocative reputations, and their absolute refusal to ruin a marriage of convenience by falling in love. It is a most agreeable sham–until a shocking event sends Gerard from Isabel’s side, and nothing is ever the same again.

Surrender to Temptation by Lauren Jameson (serialised romance): In a Penguin first, the six-part Surrender to Temptation will be released in ebook-only format. The first instalment is released on 31 December and a new chapter in this exciting story will be released each week thereafter, with the final instalment due on 4 February 2013. In this stunning debut, Lauren Jameson presents a story of unexpected desire, where two strangers play a dangerous game in the quest for incredible pleasure.
