Newsletter issue 6 is now available

12 January 2010

Hi all

The 6th issue of our newsletter has been released today – all members should have received the download link in their email.

This issue we introduce our new treasurer (welcome Rose!) and update you on plans for the awards and convention. We have also included the first details of an exciting new project we have been working on in conjunction with RWA.

This month Kate talks about the pleasure of re-reading favourites and Tez brings us another Roundup of news and deals. Plus our usual news, reviews and profiles. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

This is the last month to enter the giveaway for a book from Denise Rossetti – see page 6 for details. The competition is very simple to enter, so don’t miss your chance to win a free book.

And if you live in Sydney, don’t miss Nalini Singh’s surprise visit to Galaxy Books, tomorrow (14 Jan) at 6.30pm – details on page 3.

    Hi Rosalie,
There’s something about an old favourite, isn’t there? Especially in stressful times. I like Julia Quinn for times like that: a good laugh is never a bad thing 🙂

    Re-reads
Hi Kate. How timely your article is! I’ve just finished a re-read, Lisa Marie Rice’s ‘Woman On The Run’. It’s those delicious males she writes that draw me back to these. 🙂 I’ve been ultra enthusiastic about my reading lately. I’ve loved the newest releases by some of my favourite authors and discovered some wonderful new ones. I feel privileged. And yet, a bushfire threat way too close, plus hot weather that actually wilted a candle in my bedroom threw me enough off kitler that I turned to a favourite to help me steady myself again.
Ah! The beauty of keepers. I feel so much better now – plus it’s cooler today. 🙂
    Rosalie
