It broke my heart being unable to be up in Brisbane with you all – but I was there in spirit. Winning this award was the most amazing buzz, and for many personal reasons couldn’t have come at a better time. My heartfelt thanks to ARRA – you are such an impressive, sexy organisation. What you do for authors and readers is nothing short of amazing. Thank you to all the people who work so hard to make you look so slick and polished – and thank you for this precious award.

My sincere thanks also to Galaxy books for sponsoring this award. Thank you, thank you!

My thanks also to mate Paula Roe who accepted the award – and in such horrid circumstances. I believe she was wearing ugly shoes (her opinion). I hope you recover from that trauma P!

And if I’d been able to make a speech, I would have thanked also, my fabulous publishers Allen & Unwin – particularly Anna McFarlane and Rachael Donovan – and most especially my brilliant agent Jacinta Di Mase who’s been with me all the way.

    Thank you again.

Another fantastic convention. Huge thanks to the organizers for giving us all such a fun filled weekend. Plus many fan moments gazing at three of my favorite historical romance authors – Cathy Maxwell, Anne Gracie, Anna Campbell – Sigh!

Congratulations to everyone who was a finalist and special shout outs to all the winners.

As for Anna Campbell, what can we say? Her books are adored by so many Australian readers and such a genuinely lovely person that she deserves every accolade. Including scooping the prize pool!

Can’t wait for the next convention.

Congratulations to all these winners. It was a joy to be there with you and to see so many RWA members and friends do so well! And for those who don’t know her, you might think it’s hard to stay gracious after winning five awards, but Anna Campbell managed it. I feel priveleged to know so many of these women and know how nice and deserving they are personally as well as for their writing!
